The farm is located in the district of Karat u on the slopes of the Ngorongoro Crater – surrounded by the Ngila Forest Reserve. Under shade trees, the coffee grows on volcanic, mineral-rich soil at an altitude of 1600 metres. The beans are picked by hand, sorted and then stored in barrique barrels that were previously topped with Pinot Noir.
