Grinder geometry, which actively feeds the coffee beans to the grinder, significantly increases the grinding speed. With standard grind settings and medium-hard beans, the Sette grinds an unbeatable 3.5g/sec for espresso and 5.5g/sec for brewed coffee. This is about twice as fast as comparable high-quality household grinders. The ground coffee is fed vertically from the grinding hopper down through the grinder and falls directly into the collecting container or the sieve carrier. This reduces the dead space (the space in which old material can collect) to a minimum. The Sette 270 has a grinding degree adjustment mechanism in which the 30 main stages can each be finely adjusted in 7 further steps. The settings are easy to read by means of a micro and a macro adjustment ring. They invite you to experiment, because the default settings are very easy to find again. The grinding quantity is dosed by a timer. Three programmable memory keys are available for individual quantities. If necessary, the quantity can be adjusted before the grinding process without changing the programming. These features guarantee a constant repeatability of the individually desired grinding result.
