Der Muthaiga Club in Nairobi war das gesellschaftliche Zentrum des alten Nairobi. Beryl Markham, Karen Blixen und Denys Finch Hatton waren Gäste dieses legendären Etablissements, das heute noch existiert. Auf gepflegten Plantagen produziert Kenia mit die weltweit teuersten Kaffees – meist gewaschene Sorten mit feiner Säure und einem Hauch von grünem Apfel. Sie haben wir zur Basis unseres afrikanischen Espresso gemacht und sie ergänzt mit einem äthiopischen Limu.

| Säure | Kaffeebohnen enthalten Säure, sie variiert durch Varietät, Anbauhöhe und vor allem durch die Art der Röstung. Ein gewisser Säuregehalt ist für das Geschmacksempfinden notwendig.
